We maintain an index of amateur radio call signs mentioned in text on our pages. We've modeled this on the Site Survey infrastructure first applied to <img> tags.

We've built wiki sites in the past that could be recognize by a call sign's otherwise unlikely sequence of letters and numbers. These would link to popular web registries.
We intend to do likewise, but only in the context of a survey. Registries have proliferated so we may be more universal by linking to a web search rather than any particular site.

- isolated by break characters - one or two letter prefix - one digit region - one to three letter suffix - upper or lower case
