Apex doesn't mean it has the best brains. The tiny Homo floresiensis could be taken down with a single bite. But Homo has unimaginable potential as that brain and the culture it supports evolves.
For us, JSON is like the neurons of those little brains. And javascript is like electricity moving ions around. With these parts I can write a page that describes action now and into the future. I can have a page with a button that says "start" and when I press that button the Datalog plugin starts logging and doesn't stop until I return to that page and press "stop".
Anyone who wants to make wiki the best blogging platform can easily be attracted to markdown. But when we say we want a wiki where we can do work as well as talk about doing work we will not see a long future for markdown.
